Maximum of 3 meads per category.

The deadline to enter meads is 31.01.2024. After that date we will not accept entry forms.

Meads entered into competition need to be received by Organisers (address provided during registration process) by 11.02.2024. Meads received after the deadline may be excluded from the competition.

CompetitionBeverage.com is our partner who handles the finances. The entry form is naturally on their website.

Every entrant will receive a payment confirmation from PayPal. If you require a VAT invoice, please indicate this during registration process. System will automatically send you an invoice to the email provided during registration

Relax, it is mainly directed to entrants from outside of the EU.

 It can help with international shipment (from outside of the EU). 

Of course. 0,33l is preferred size, but we will accept any size of bottles.

Two bottles will allow us to hold 2 rounds and a final round if your mead will progress that far. It is also a safety measure in case one of them breaks.

Competition label should be attached by using an elastic band only.

No. You should place competition labels over existing ones and secure with elastic band.

You should avoid to purposely wax seal your bottles for the competition. It makes opening more difficult and sometimes wax particles can be transferred into glasses.

There is no need for that. We do prefer bottles without wax seals though.

Yes, but it’s not ideal packaging. If it’s the only option, we will accept it.

MMC is an international competition and the judges are from all over the World. English is official language, but sometimes judge may write in their native language. We suggest the use of Google translator.

The judges are certified MJP and BJCP mead judges as well as experienced mead, wine and beer industry experts. 

A medal for first 3 places in each category. The best mead of the competition (Best of show) will receive additional trophy and a title of Grand Champion (in both PRO and HOME competitions). The winner of the HOME competition will be also invited to one of the professional meaderies to commercially produce their winning mead (final decision will be made by the founder of this prize based on a number of factors taking into consideration when commercially producing mead). They will receive first 50 bottles.

Yes, scoring sheets will be sent to all participants. In Mead Madness Cup competition it will be one, joint scoring sheet filled in by one of the judges (the secretary of the table) containing scores and feedback from first round from all of the judges evaluating their mead.

We don’t want to mis-lead the customers. If the graphic representation of the medal is to be used, there need to be also an information of the name of the winning mead, category in wich the medal was won and the name and the year of the competition.
